Rules
In the event of a dispute or misunderstanding the English version of the rules will apply.
THE RULES OF COMPETITIONS
(a) All competitions are open to harpists of any nationality.
(b) There is no minimum “cut off” age for any of the competitions i.e.
a competitor is free to enter any class provided he / she is under the
required age on the date stated in this syllabus.
(c) Harpists may compete in more than one category, but must pay £20
entry fee for any further competition.
(d) The decisions of the jury are final and binding, and cannot be
challenged. The competition organisers reserve the right not to award
prizes if the standard is not sufficiently high in the opinion of a majority
of the members of the jury.
(e) Before the Festival commences, competitors’ names will be drawn
by an independent panel to decide on the order of performance. This order
will then be followed at every stage..
(f) The deadline for receiving entries is March 1st 2013
Repertoire
Competitors for the Senior competition will need to select one work from
List A and one from List B
Competitors for the Junior competition will need to select one work from either
List A or List B

are those published by John Thomas in Volumes 1 & 2 ”Welsh Melodies
for the Harp” . You may use any edition by any publisher of
