Cover Image

The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba
GF Handel arranged for 2 pedal or lever harp by Anne-Marie O'Farrell

The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba is originally a lively orchestral sinfonia which announces her stately arrival in G.F.Handel's oratorio Solomon, written in 1748. The main theme is borrowed from an aria in Giovanni Porta's opera Numitore. In this arrangement for two harps, pedal changes are notated in the normal way, while lever changes are denoted by a diamond-shaped notehead preceded by the appropriate accidental.
