Petite Suite - Claude DEBUSSY (1862-1918)

Petite Suite was published in 1889 for 4 hand piano. In 1907 it was orchestrated by Henri BÜSSER and later that year this version was performed at Lamoureux and was an instant success and has retained its popularity to this day.

The Suite contains four short choreographed pieces:

– I. En bateau
– II. Cortège
– III. Menuet
– IV. Ballet

“Little Suite” is in a light and dancing style of music, inspired by composers of his time - Fauré, Bizet, Chabrier, Delibes and Borodine.

Présentation

« Petite suite » Claude DEBUSSY (1862-1918)

– I. « En bateau »
– II. « Cortège »
– III. « Menuet »
– IV. « Ballet »
