| Notes | The score also includes a very informative introduction to Ladislas de Rohozinski written by Dominique Piana. Ladislas de Rohozinski was born in St. Petersburg (Russia) in 1886. Originally of Polish nationality, he was raised in Provence and studied music in Paris at the Schola Cantorum, under the tutelage of Eugène Gigout and Vincent d’Indy. During his student days, he was close to Ravel, Déodat de Séverac and Albert Roussel, with whom he briefly studied counterpoint. Despite the discipline of the Schola, he couldn’t stay away from the seductive spell of Claude Debussy’s music, yet he remained firmly true to himself ............. |
