This second piano trio with it’s strong religious imagery is dedicated to my Mum Mrs Joyce Bewley. This trio uses quotes from The St Petersburg Mass (Agnus Dei) and the hymn Blessed Assurance, both of which, were part of Mum’s collection of favorite music. I have also tried to show in both the music and the literary quotes, that introduce each movement, the depth of her faith, wisdom and love.
