Photo: Michel Tirabosco and Nathalie Chatelain" ...Music above all " wrote Verlaine. And adding their own poetry, as well, this is what Michel Tirabosco and Nathalie Chatelain's beautiful recording is all about.

Their interpretation of an exquisitely varied repertoire, a subtle and understated dialogue between the two, is testimony to their complicity and complementary artistic talents.

Without ever overdoing it and with absolutely no artificiality, they open the door to pure melody. No words are necessary : they come out through the luminous purity of Michel Tirabosco's instrument. No orchestra is necessary : Nathalie Chatelain brings it out through her keen knowledge of ensemble music.

One has only to listen to their sublime interpretation of "Casta Diva" to be convinced, and the rest meets up to the same level.

Their music makes us dream. Those who listen on are in for a treat in relishing this discovery.
