Sleeve Notes (also in Welsh in CD booklet)

Côr Cochion Caerdydd (Cardiff Reds Choir) came together in 1983, when events in Chile, South Africa, and at home in Wales demanded that they use their voices in protest. Since then, they have raised many thousands of pounds and campaigned in support of peace, justice and freedom in Britain and around the world.

They are a familiar sight collecting as they sing on the streets of Cardiff, on picket lines, demonstrations and in concerts. Their repertoire of a cappella songs for mixed voices ranges from traditional favourites (often revamped hymn tunes) to arrangements from the Arabic and contemporary protest songs.
This collection of songs comes from their first six cassettes.
The conductor on all these recordings was John Abraham.

Lyrics - The lyrics to the songs on the CD are inluded in the CD booklet but are not repoduced here as they are also available on line at the choirs own web site
