Elinor Bennett
Harpist

Elinor is very influential as performer, harp teacher and international ambassador for Welsh music.

A co-founder of Coleg Telyn Cymru, and Telynau Bangor, she is the Artistic Director of Canolfan Gerdd William Mathias Music Centre. She directed Harp Studies at the University of North Wales, Bangor for over 30 years, and has been a Visiting Professor at the Royal Academy of Music, London.

Harpists from all over the world come to study with her and many contemporary composers have written music for her. Her numerous CD’s range from the traditional to classical popular and experimental music. Elinor has given Masterciasses and recitals in most European countries, the USA, Australia. Japan and Thailand.

Catrin Finch

Catrin is renowned for her phenomenal muscianship and for taking the harp to new heights.

Catrin studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London and was Royal Harpist from 2000 to 2004.

As a solo artist she has performed extensively in the Middle East. Asia. Europe and the USA. Notable performances Include an appearance with the Boston Pops, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields at the Barbican’s Mostly Mozart Festival, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Welsh Prams, a recital for Radio France and concerto appearances with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the London Mozart Players, the Charlotte Symphony and the Lake Charles Symphony.

Recent performances include a recital at the Weill Recital Hall in New york, Musiksommer Festival in Leipzig and concertos with the Manchester Camerata, North Carolina Symphony, the London Mozart Players and the English Chamber Orchestra. Catrin has recorded for most of the major record companies including, Universal Records, Deutsche Grammaphon, EMI and Sony Classical.
