Sleeve Notes Mwynion Mai Flute & Harp Duo, formed in 1989, encompasses the unique talents of flautist Jane Groves and harpist Eluned Scourfield. Mwynion Mai has a very extensive and wide repertoire often heard at concerts, recitals, festivals, corporate events and weddings across South Wales and beyond but it is for their own wonderful arrangements of Traditional Welsh Melodies that they are best known. It was no surprise when they decided that this, their debut album, should be dedicated to recording some of these beautifully haunting Traditional Welsh melodies, some of which had not been previously recorded. Mwynion Mai would like to express their thanks to everyone who has made this album possible, especially Taran Studios. |
